Creating A Society
Ecological Description:
·
Tribal society, somewhat barbaric in nature, in
the subarctic climate of the northern region of the planet
·
Little to no plant life, but plentiful in fish
Nutrition:
·
Fish is the primary diet of the people of the
region, that can only be harvested by picking through the massive sheets of ice
that cover a majority of the land
·
Since there is a lack of plant life, the primary
source of protein is derived from the harvested fish, and additional milk that
comes from mamalic sea life and polar bears
·
The milk is used to create various dairy
products that are often bitter to taste but is a good source of natural fat to
keep the civilians warm in the cold
Opposition:
·
The dominate trait of the culture is
urbanization in the way that there is a bounty of ice but a lack of fish to
harvest to consume in the ice
·
The opposite trait of this dominate trait would
be the scarcity of a population and a bounty of consumable food that the civilization
would be able to grow and thrive from
·
Environmentally, there is a threat of global
warming from the heat of the planets atmosphere rising which could cause the
once ice colony to be forced to learn how to survive in a new environment
Communication:
·
There is communication through symbols, in the
ice, there is a lack of stronger materials to keep the language preserved on so
there is a danger of losing the language forever if global warming continues to
persist on the planet. It has shown small signs of emerging, so there is a need
to preserve the language in a new way.
·
Along with symbols, the use of specific noises
are used to give a specific symbol more power or meaning
Ethics:
·
Justice is found through the tribe itself
·
When someone has done a wrong doing, the tribe
comes together and surrounds the accused.
·
Rather than punishing the member, they stand and
list all of the good things that the member has done and surrounds them in
kindness to banish the evil that has held them in contempt of causing harm or
doing an evil deed
Ideology:
·
There are no holy days, this is a civilization
without religious practices or beliefs
Family Structure:
·
The civilization is asexual
·
There is no marriage or monogamous relationships
·
The relationship dynamics incorporate the clan
as a whole instead of individually
Etiquette:
·
The etiquette of the civilization is slightly
barbaric
·
Celebrations are done in the art of dance
Gender:
·
Seeing as how this civilization is asexual,
there is no gender to separate anyone from each other
·
There may be physical differences on the surface
of each specimen, but there are no defining genders
